CLIMATE 

Due to the  proximity of the ocean, the coastal area is highly humid.  But the land receives generally less rainfall compared to other countries on the Gulf coast.  Annual rainfall averages 40 inches in the southern areas and about 70 inches in the northern areas of the mountains.  In the southern parts two rainy seasons are available- March to July and September to November.  In the mountainous region, the rainy season is from April  to October.

Temperatures average from 220C to 350 C  ( 720 to 950 F )
