American Express and Visa cards are accepted widely in Togo.  Traveler’s Cheques are also accepted in some banks in the Capital city.

Airlines -  Air France has connections to the capital city Lome.

Air Togo runs a domestic service to Sokodé, Mango, Dapango, Lama-Kara, Niamtougoui and Lomé

TRAIN SERVICE

There is a daily,  regular  train service connecting Lomé, Atakpamé and Blitta; Lomé and Kpalimé; and Lomé and Aného.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTS

All main towns in the country are served by a network of minibuses.  The service is good and relatively cheap.  Taxis and shared taxis are available . 

Self Driving 

Driving is on the right hand side.   International Driving License is required. There are several car hire firms, mainly in Lomé.

Electric Power is 240V ; 50 Hz (Lome 127V)    

TRAVEL INSURANCE

If medical care is necessitated while in Togo, better have access to immediate cash.  Your insurance company payments are not acceptable in Togo.  Besides, credit cards are all right but may take more time in processing.

For claiming facility on your travel insurance, please  remember to consult only licensed medical practitioners

 It is advisable to always ensure you have a comprehensive travel insurance policy which covers you for repatriation to your home country.
