ATTRACTIONS

The capital city is of Lome has a special distinction; it is the only border city  capital city in the world .  It is a mixture of traditional life and the modern.  A tour around gives an interesting past time to any stranger, with its voodoo charms, lotions and potions ; the market places and so on.  

Togoville  is a town interesting to people who  are interested in history.  The century old treaty between the Germns and the tribal ruler Mlapa III was signed in this town.  The local chief can show the copy of the treaty proudly to any one interested.  There are numerous voodoo shrines in the same village  and churches built by the Germans.  

 Lake Togo is popular with water sports . Another attraction is the town ,   Aného, Togo’s colonial capital until 1920.  The historic aspects are preserved  in a clear colonial atmosphere; the churches and cemeteries  and 19th century colonial houses of architectural value.   Togo’s wild life sanctuaries are also famous for their vivid  flora and fauna.
