Cote
d’Ivoire is rich in natural resources; Petroleum, Manganese, Iron ore, Cobalt, Bauxite,
Copper, Diamonds, Hydropower. They
have discovered Off shore oil and natural
gas deposits. Cote d’Ivoire has surplus
power production but diversification of economy is not yet succeeded
due to shortage in capital and instability of political
atmosphere in the country.
68% of the total population of 16.8 million
are engaged in agriculture. Cote d’Ivoire
is the leading producers and exporters of
Cocoa, Coffee beans and palm oil.
