Passports:
Passports
should be valid for at least 6 months.
VISAS:
Every
individual is required to carry a Visa, except the following:
1.
Angola, South Africa, ECOWAS
country nationals
- Former
nationals of Cape Verde, their spouses and children. However, they
should have a proof of origin.
- Individuals
who are on an onward journey, going onto a third destination. They
should have with them onward documentation and should not
leave the airport.
Visa
types and their cost
There
are three types of Visas, namely:
- Transit
- Tourist
- Business
Their cost for a Single Entry is €38.02 whereas
Multiple Entry costs €72.34. The price range can change off and on and
are given approximately in Euros.
Note: To know more
about the re-entry and exit permits that may be
required sometimes, find out at the Consulate or the Consular Section
at the Embassy.
Visa Validity
The Visas are valid for a period of 6 months
starting from the date of issue for 90-day visits.
Where to apply for the Visa:
The
visitors can apply for the same at the Consulate or the Consular
Section at the Embassy; for visitors with no Cape Verdean Embassy or
Consulate at their countries can get their Visas from the Sal and Praia
airports’ Cape Verdean Border Service offices.
Requirements for Visa Application:
- Two
passport-size photographs
- One
application form
- A
passport with at least a 6-month validity.
- Fee
How
long will it take to get the Visa?
In cases where there are no complications or other problems,
the Visas can be issued immediately. However, to be on the safe side, a
2-day delay can be expected.
