Passport/Visa
PASSPORTS:
Valid
passport is essential for all except nationals of
Benin, Cape Verde, Central African Rep., Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana,
Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria,
Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo possessing national identity cards.
VISAS: Essential for all except:
those
mentioned under passport exemptions above, for up to 90 days;
those
persons continuing their journey within 24 hours to another country,
provided holding onward tickets and the appropriate travel documents
and not leaving the airport.
Types of
visa and cost: Tourist,
Business and Transit. All visas cost £25.
Validity:
Visas are
normally valid for three months from the date of entry and permit
multiple entry.

Fee of £25 payable in cash or by
postal order only.

days required: if papers are
in order, visas are issued promptly. Applications may take a few weeks
if referred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Burkina Faso.
Temporary
residence: Application to be
addressed to the Central Government of Burkina Faso. Enquiries can be
made at Consulate or Embassy for further information.
