VISAS & IMMIGRATION
It is
essential to have visa if you are not a citizen of Denmark, Germany,
France, Sweden and some African countries. You can obtain a
15 day visa issued in 24 hours; you will need 2 photos for this.
For travelling by land, visas can be obtained at the
main Togo-Benin border crossing at Ouidah. At Cotonou, you may extend your visa by
three months, from the Ministry of Interior on Ave Jean
Paul II for about 20 US$. This takes 3 days and you will need to
submit 3 photos. Timing for submitting applications is upto 11in the
morning only.
It is wise to check on the latest norms before actually commencing your
trip as these rules are subject to change.
